Leadership Fremont
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2011 Leadership Fremont program!
Leadership Fremont is a learning experience designed to develop future leaders to serve the area. Includes leadership skills training and exercises, emerging issues, information on community volunteers and service groups, the media, community foundation and information on how to be a good community leader. This is a nine-month program with participants spending one day per month in Leadership sessions. Class size is limited to 20 participants. Tuition for Leadership Fremont is $395/participant for Chamber members and $495/participant for non-Chamber members.
Applications must be postmarked by Friday, August 20, 2010. Tuition is due by Monday, September 20, 2010. Tuition is frequently paid for by the participant's employer or sponsoring organization. Applicants will be notified by September 3, 2010, if accepted into the Leadership Fremont class. Please follow the links below for a brochure and application. Toast to Fremont:Moonlight and Martinis

The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce works diligently throughout the year to present many projects and events to benefit our members and the Fremont Community. A Toast to Fremont is an annual event designed to showcase some of Fremont’s finest restaurants and caterers while acting as a major fundraiser for the Chamber’s 21st Century program. This year, the Fremont Area Chamber has partnered with the Fremont Rotary Club and the money raised will benefit the Chamber’s School to Career, Educational Attainment and Employment Development initiatives, as well as, Fremont Rotary Club’s pledge to end polio worldwide and fund many community projects. You can generously show your support for these efforts by attending and bidding with enthusiasm!
The event will be held on Thursday, June 10th at the Fremont City Auditorium. The evening begins at 6:30 and includes catered
hors d’oeuvres, specialty martinis, a cash bar, and entertainment. Attendees are invited to view and bid on the Silent Auction Items donated by local businesses. The Live Auction will include such items as catered dinners, trips, Nebraska Football tickets, and more!
Tickets are available for $50 and table sponsorships are $500.

Former "First Son" To Speak At Annual Banquet
The Fremont Area Chamber is pleased to announce Steve Ford, son of former President Gerald R. Ford, will be the keynote speaker at the Chamber’s 130th Annual Banquet.
As a result of the generosity of Fremont National Bank and Trust Company, the Chamber is able bring Steve’s unique life experiences, from living in the White House to a successful 20 year career as an actor in Hollywood, to Fremont.
As an accomplished actor, Steve has appeared in over thirty movies including Transformers, Blackhawk Down, Contact with Jodie Foster, Heat with Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, Armageddon with Bruce Willis, Starship Troopers, Eraser with Arnold Schwazenegger and as Meg Ryan’s boyfriend in When Harry Met Sally. For six years, he starred as Detective Any Richards on the Emmy Award-winning the Young And The Restless. His television career includes being host of the NBC series Secret Service and has had many guest leads on shows such as Suddenly Susan, Dr. Quinn, J.A.G., 18 Wheels of Justice, Babylon 5: In the Beginning, Walker Texas Ranger, and The Sentinel.
Ford will share the tools of his success in and outside Washington, D.C. . Each of Steve’s inspirational stories will focus on character, integrity, the value of a strong family unit, setting and juggling priorities, and making the right choices in life.
Taking place on Friday, January 8, 2010, the Fremont Area Chamber will celebrate the past year’s accomplishments, reveal new goals, recognize out-going chair-of-the-board, Dr. Robert Roesch for his service to the Chamber, and introduce in-coming chair-of-the-board, Diane Mallett.

It is with great pleasure that the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce announces the recipients of this year’s Membership Awards.

Earlier this year, the Fremont Area Chamber accepted nominations from the Chamber’s general membership for these awards. The nominees were then examined by the Awards Selection Committee to determine if all of the set criteria were met. The Farm Family Excellence Award was chosen by the Agricultural Business Council.
The recipients will be honored and recognized for their contributions to the positive growth of our business community at the Fremont Area Chamber’s annual Awards Luncheon. Each of the recipients will receive an award presented by the Fremont Tribune.
The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The event will take place at the Fremont Golf Club located at 2710 N. Somers Avenue with lunch beginning at 11:30.

Think Fremont First Business Expo
The Think Fremont First Business Expo is a forum for area businesses to market their product and services to other area businesses. This environment will generate qualified audiences making your job easier by bringing the customer to you. This annual event is held in the Christensen Field Main Arena.

REBMAHC
On Friday, March 6 from 7 p.m. to midnight, the Fremont Area Chamber hosted REBMAHC (Chamber spelled backwards) XVIII.
The event was held at the Fremont City Auditorium, located at 925 North Broad Street. The theme for this year's event was "Cruisin' to REBMAHC XVIII" and featured the band “Pink Kadillac”.

The purpose of REBMAHC is to raise additional non-investment income for the Chamber. The goal is for everyone to have a great time.
Fremont Area Business Hall of Fame Banquet
The Chamber Annual Banquet is traditionally held the first Friday of January. The Chamber Annual Banquet is the venue in which we announce the recipients of the Fremont Area Business Hall of Fame, which recognizes business leaders whose contributions to Fremont’s economy and business environment are deserving of public acclaim.
Each year, nominations for the Fremont Area Business Hall of Fame will be solicited from the general business community.
Individuals to be honored will be selected for recognition by The Chamber of Commerce Foundation of the Fremont Area. A plaque is made for each honoree describing how they made a difference to the economy of the area. The plaques will be revealed at the Chamber Banquet in January and will then be permanently displayed in the Fremont Historic Visitor’s Center.
The 2009 historical recipients are Lucius Richards and Rudolph Schneider. The contemporary recipients are Bernie Paden, posthumous and Richard Wikert.
