Our Mission Statement:
The Fremont Area Chamber works to promote a favorable business climate for its membership and provide leadership to improve the economy and quality of life in the Fremont area.
Priorities for 2010
- Work closely with the Greater Fremont Development Council in communicating the action steps by our members to help secure a data storage company, including surveying telecom and telecommunications companies’ present and future broadband needs.
- Partner with Midland Lutheran College on securing businesses to participate in the internship and service learning initiative and communicate the importance of this initiative to the membership.
- Develop strategies to enhance Chamber effectiveness, including measuring engagement by Board members and taking steps to strengthen the task force and council system to ensure the mission of the Chamber is accomplished.
- Review the Buxton retail study and develop action plans to address those indicators that we believe will have a positive impact on the business community. Determine our role in recruiting matches and communicating the information included in the study.
